BJC Packaging Products Division
With the vision of Berli Jucker’s management more than half a century ago, the country’s first glass container factory, namely, ‘Thai Glass Manufacturer Co. Ltd.’ was set up on the bank of Chao Phraya River under a joint-venture between Berli Jucker Co., Ltd. and The Australian Consolidated Industry Co., Ltd.
The factory commenced its operation in 1951 and its products were marketed and distributed by Berli Jucker’s Glass Products Division. Coping with continuous growth since its first operation in 1951, the second factory at Bang Plee district, Samutprakarn province was operational in 1991. At present, the two factories have combined production capacity over 2,400 tons per day.
Later, Thai Glass Manufacturer Co., Ltd. and Glass Products Division have changed their names to Thai Glass Industries PCL (TGI) and BJC Packaging Products (PPD), respectively.
In 2008, Berli Jucker Public Company Limited (BJC) underwent an organizational restructure. Changes with the new structure took place under Industrial Supply Chain - with TGI and PPD for glass containers, Thai Beverage Can Co., Ltd. for aluminum cans and Berli Dynaplast Co., Ltd. for rigid plastic containers.
