| Objectives: |
The Foundation was set up, with the Ministry of University Affairs’ coordination, in commemoration of two important occasions, namely the celebration of the Company’s Centenary, that coincided with the bicentenary of the founding of the Kingdom’s Rattanakosin Period. The interest of the Foundation’s seed money was donated to Thai public charities, especially Thai educational institutions in support of business administration studies to cover such disbursements as tutors’ training, students’ scholarships, research and other initiatives by public charities. |

| 1999 Academic Year: |
The amount of annual funding for each educational grant increased from Baht 7,000 to Baht 10,000 in tandem with the changing economic condition. The aggregate Baht 1,000,000 donation represented a contribution shared equally by the Foundation and Company. |
| 2000 Academic Year: |
The terms of annual grant were altered; on condition that the grantee maintain a minimum 2.2 GPA, the grant each student received would cover the duration of the study until his/her graduation. Under the revised terms and conditions, the funding was raised to provide adequate coverage for relevant costs. Of the 100 pre-selected students from 22 educational institutions, 50 scholarships at Baht 14,000 each were granted to students in Business Administration and Management Studies and the remaining 50 scholarships at Baht 22,000 each were made available to students in Engineering and Technology Science. The 100 scholarships amounted to a total of Baht 1,800,000 a year. |

The educational funds jointly contributed by the Company and the Foundation have benefited Baht 23,573,000 in total. With further Baht 1,710,050 donations to other educational institutions and public charities, the total contribution made to date (19 January 2009) amounts to Baht 25,283,050.

| Scholarship Presentation : |
On 10 February 2009, students from 23 universities were granted Berli Jucker Scholarships. Of the 100 scholarships, 50 were granted to students of Business Administration and Management Studies at Baht 14,000 each totaling Baht 700,000. The remaining 50 scholarships were made available to Engineering and Technology Studies at Baht 22,000 each amounting to a total of Baht 1,100,000. The presentation ceremony of the scholarships worth a total of Baht 1,800,000 took place at the Room 1, 12th floor, BJC House Building, Berli Jucker Public Company Limited with Khunying Wanna Sirivadhanabhakdi representing Berli Jucker Public Company Limited. |
